Diocese of Tohoku
Map of the Diocese
-Basically, it is very difficult to communicate with the diocese because of blackout and stopped phone line until now.
-Bishop Kato is OK.
-Retired Bishop Kikawada is OK.
-The diocese lunched the operation center.
Sendai Christ Church (Cathedral)
Some(or all) parts of celling were fallen down.
Some parts of the wall were crumbled down.
The building was seriously damaged.
There are the problem of the shortage of water, electricity, gas and even food.
Isoyama St.Jone's Church
There is no communication until now. The church is located in 50 meters from the seashore. There is only one information that, at least, one of the members is died and another two are missing.
Anglican Church in Morioka
There is no communication until now.
Kamaishi God's Love Church
There is no communication until now.
There is short information that tsunami did not come.
Murone St. Nathaniel's Church
There is no communication until now.
Onahama St.Theimothy's Church
Tsunami came and stopped just about 50 meters on this side of the church. The entrance door were crumbled down. Everything are littered but there is no fatal damage.
They have to stay inside the house because of the nuclear. Some members started to escape from this area.
Yonezawa St. John's Church
There are cracks in the wall.
Wakamatsu Holy Saints' Church
The baptismal font was broken. Everything are littered but the building is OK. All children and teachers of the attached kindergarden are OK.
Aomori St. Andrew's Church
OK
Hachinohe St. Luke's Church

Diocese of Kitakanto
Tsuchiura St. Barnabas Church
There are some cracks in the chapel and the rectory. Cupboards and bookshelves were fallen down, but there is no serous damage.
Anglican Church in Shimodate
Some parts of celling were fallen down.
Some parts of the wall were crumbled down.
Cupboards and bookshelves were fallen down.
Mito St.Stephan's Church
Some parts of the wall were crumbled down.
The bell tower will be collapsed at any moment.
